The Minolta Motor Drive 1 is a detachable motor unit for Minolta X-700, X-570, X-500, and XG-M manual focus SLRs, designed to enable motorized film advance and shooting speeds of up to 3.5 frames per second (fps). It acts as both a motor drive and a vertical grip, providing improved handling, battery power for the camera, and a dedicated vertical shutter release
