The Paillard Bolex H16 Reflex is a legendary Swiss-made 16mm movie camera, renowned for its precision craftsmanship and versatility in professional and independent filmmaking. This specific setup includes a trio of high-quality Kern-Paillard Switar lenses: the 16mm f/1.8 RX wide-angle, the 25mm f/1.4 RX standard, and the 75mm telephoto
Camera Features (H16 Reflex)
Viewfinder: 6x magnification, reflex viewing with a semi-reflecting prism system allowing, through-the-lens focusing.
Turret: Rotating 3-lens turret (usually C-mount, though RX lenses are recommended for reflex models).
Motor: Spring-driven motor with constant speed control, capable of 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48, and 64 frames per second, plus single-frame.
Film Loading: 100ft (30m) daylight loading spools, with automatic threading mechanism.
Construction: Polished duraluminium body covered in leather, with chrome-plated metal parts.
Lens Set Details (Kern Switar RX):
Kern Switar 25mm f/1.4 RX: A fast, standard prime lens for 16mm, highly regarded for sharpness.
Kern Switar 16mm f/1.8 RX: A wide-angle prime lens, ideal for scenic shots and in tight spaces.
