Zeiss 50mm 0.2-2.5M Stereo Lens 27mm Swivel Filter Holder
The Zeiss Ikon Steritar 0.2-2.5m (often associated with the Steritar Close-Up Attachment) is a specialized stereo imaging attachment for vintage 35mm cameras (principally the Zeiss Ikon Contaflex series). It allows users to capture precise, close-up 3D (stereoscopic) photographs within a focus range of 0.2m to 2.5m.
Camera Compatibility:
Designed for use with specific leaf-shutter SLR cameras, such as the Contaflex III, IV, Rapid, and Super (which utilize the Carl Zeiss Tessar or Pantar 50mm lenses)
How it Works
Dual-Optic Design: The attachment splits the camera’s main taking lens into two separate optical paths, projecting two distinct side-by-side images onto the standard 35mm film frame.
Close-Up Capability: The 0.2m to 2.5m range is designed for macro and portrait stereophotography. It alters the standard focal plane of the base lens to achieve sharp focus on near subjects.
Swivel/Viewfinder Alignment: It typically comes with a matching stereo viewfinder/prism attachment that mounts to the top of the camera. This ensures you frame the parallax correctly and see the depth of your subject before snapping the shutter.
