The Hasselblad 52183 Reflex Viewfinder RM-2 is a specialized 90-degree waist-level replacement prism finder designed for Hasselblad V-system cameras (such as the 500, 501, and 503 series)
Full Compatibility
500 Series (Classic Leaf-Shutter Bodies): Fully compatible with the 500C, 500C/M, 501C, 501CM, 503CX, 503CXi, and 503CW. It slides smoothly onto the standard top viewfinder rails.
EL Series (Motor-Driven Bodies): Fully compatible with the 500EL, 500EL/M, 553ELX, and 555ELD.
Speciality Bodies (Via Focus Screen Adapter): Fully compatible with the SWC/M (later versions with interchangeable screens), Flexbody, and Arcbody.
Film & Digital Backs: Structurally designed with a high-clearance eyepiece tube. It explicitly clears larger 70mm film magazines, data backs, and modern CFV digital backs without blocking them
Key Description & Specifications
View Image: It mounts directly onto the camera’s focusing screen in place of the standard waist-level finder, providing an upright and correct-reading (non-reversed) image.
Design & Compatibility: Produced for Hasselblad by Hensoldt (Wetzlar, Germany) starting in 1987, it is also fully compatible with the focusing screen adapter on the Hasselblad SWC, Flexbody, or Arcbody for detailed composition and focus control.
Ergonomics: The high elevation of the eyepiece tube allows for effortless operation and clearance of bulky film magazines (including film back 70 and data-recording backs).
Adjustments: Features an integrated diopter adjustment on the eyepiece for personal vision correction and sharpness tuning.
