Leica Leitz MQUOO Specialized Mechanical

Mouth Operated Cable Release

*** RARE ***

The Leitz MQUOO is a specialized mechanical mouth-operated cable release introduced by Leica (Leitz) in 1954

Design and Purpose: The device features a unique mouth grip and a plunger mechanism designed to let photographers—particularly those with physical disabilities or injuries, —

operate vintage mechanical cameras hands-free.

Operation: It attaches to the camera’s threaded shutter release socket, holding the release component steady via a coiled spring sheath so the user can trigger the shutter directly using their mouth.

Features: It includes a small integrated locking screw to hold the shutter open for long exposures (bulb mode)

The release is in excellent cosmetic condition, please see photo provided.
