The Canon BG-E2 is a battery grip designed for the EOS 20D, 30D, 40D, and 50D DSLRs that provides a more comfortable grip, especially for vertical shots, and doubles the camera’s battery life. It allows the user to power the camera with two BP-511A battery packs or six AA batteries and includes a vertical shutter release and control buttons.
