The Canon PL-C 52 (Original/Version I) is a 52mm drop-in circular polarizing filter designed for use with specific Canon super-telephoto lenses that lack traditional front filter threads. It allows photographers to reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces (water, glass) while increasing color saturation in landscapes, such as making skies bluer.

Key Features and Description

Drop-in Design: The filter is housed in a dedicated, removable holder that inserts into the rear of the lens, eliminating the need for large, expensive front filters.

Rotation Control: It features a built-in geared ring, allowing the user to rotate the filter to adjust the polarization intensity while it is inside the lens.

Optics: It utilizes a circular polarizer to ensure proper autofocus (AF) and TTL light metering performance.

Compatibility: Designed for Canon EF super-telephoto lenses, including older L-series lenses, the 200mm f/2L, 300mm f/2.8L, 400mm f/2.8L, 500mm f/4L, 600mm f/4L, and 800mm f/5.6L.
