The Canon Sure Shot A1 (also known as Sure Shot WP-1 or Prima AS-1) is a rugged, fully automatic, waterproof 35mm film camera designed for point-and-shoot convenience in various conditions. When released, it was the world’s smallest and lightest land and underwater camera, rated to a depth of 5 meters. Key features include a 32mm f/3.5 lens, 3-point Smart Autofocus, built-in flash with multiple modes, self-timer, and a large viewfinder. It is known for its simplicity and durability, making it suitable for both beginners and professionals who need a reliable camera for adventure, travel, or everyday use.  

Fully automatic, the camera can be used on land where 3-point Smart Autofocus is effective for distances as close as 0.45 m. Underwater, focusing is good from 1 m to 3 m. In the macro mode, you can focus from 0.45 m to 1 m.

The large Albada viewfinder has a long eye relief, making it easy to view even with a underwater face mask or ski goggles.

The camera bottom has a switch for the normal and panorama modes switchable at anytime. The 32mm f/3.5 lens has 6 elements in 6 groups.
