Kodak Coldlight Illuminator Series 2 Negative Film Viewer (Light Box)
      Medical/Dental X-ray

The Kodak Coldlight Illuminator Series 2 is a mid-20th-century medical/dental X-ray film viewer (light box) widely used in British hospitals and dental clinics (such as Selly Oak Hospital and the Eastman Dental Hospital) during the 1950s–1960s also perfect for viewing film negatives.

Repurposing a vintage Kodak Coldlight Illuminator Series 2 for photography is an excellent idea. Its highly diffusion-backed translucent screen makes it a fantastic tool for analog film workflows, digitisation, and creative studio setups.

    • Here are the best ways to integrate it into modern photography:
High-Quality Film Digitisation (DSLR / Mirrorless Scanning)
If you shoot 35mm, medium format (120 film), or large format film, you can use the illuminator as a backlight to “scan” negatives with a digital camera.

The item is in excellent cosmetic condition, please see photo provided.
      Fully Working.
