The Leica IIIF Red Dial Self Timer is a vintage German 35mm rangefinder camera known for its mechanical precision, robust all-metal build, and legendary reputation. It features a high-magnification 1.5x viewfinder/rangefinder, a self-timer, flash synchronization with both bulbs and electronic flash, and uses the Leica M39 screw mount. Its distinctive red dial indicates this model’s flash capabilities, and it uses a dual-dial system for setting shutter speeds, with a separate dial for slow speeds.

The camera is in used cosmetic condition, the vulcanite is loose with some missing bits, please see photos provided.

Selling as-is. The camera winds, but the advance feels rough and there is a grinding sensation when cocking the shutter. When the shutter is fired, both curtains move together and all speeds fire at the same rate. The slow-speed escapement does not appear to engage. Curtains are intact.
