      The Manfrotto 243 is a compact, aluminum car window pod designed to clamp onto car windows or narrow sills (up to 60mm thick), providing a stable platform for cameras or spotting scopes. Ideal for wildlife photography, it features a 3/8″ thread for mounting a separate head and weighs 0.18 kg. 

      Design & Utility: The Manfrotto 243 Car Window Pod is designed for mounting a camera or spotting scope, offering a stable,, portable solution when shooting from inside a vehicle.

      Mounting: It features a 3/8″ male thread for securely attaching a head and is designed for use on car windows or narrow surfaces up to 60mm (2.36 inches) thick.

      Portability & Weight: It is highly portable, with a net weight of approximately 0.18 kg (0.4 lbs).

      Material: The unit is constructed from aluminum for durability.

      Compatibility: It is often used with a separate ball head or tilt head (like the 482 or 234), and some kits, like the Manfrotto 234RC,243 Car Window Pod With 234 Tilt Top Head –  include a head for added versatility.

      Functionality: It can be securely clamped onto a window ledge for taking photographs while on safari or traveling.
