The magnifier, being fixed at the finder eye-piece of the SR, is used to gain precise focusing when you are engaged in telephotography, copying, ultra close-ups and microphotography.

You can see the subject magnified by 2.5 times through the finder, but it is not possible to get the entire scope of the object, when you use the magnifier.

The eye-piece lens of this magnifier is designed so that it can adjust itself from the -3-diopter to +1 in visibility by turning. Once you get the visibility that satisfies, then tighten down on the clamping screw.
