      The Nikon DG-2 Eyepiece Magnifier is a versatile viewfinder accessory that provides a 2x magnification of the central portion of your camera’s viewfinder image. It is specifically designed for critical focusing in close-up or macro photography, and macro work.

      Key Features & Functions:
      2x Magnification: Enlarges the center of the frame, allowing you to fine-tune focus where fine detail and precise sharpness are critical. 
      Hinged Design: Features a convenient flip-up mount. You can instantly swing it out of the way to see the full un-magnified viewfinder image, and easily flip it back down to check critical focus.
      Dioptric Correction: Includes adjustable eyesight correction ranging from -5 to +1 for tailored viewing comfort.
      Comfort: Fitted with a soft rubber eyecup to block out stray peripheral light and protect the eye.

      Compatibility & Adapters:

      The DG-2 is widely compatible across various Nikon SLR and DSLR cameras, but mounting it depends on your specific camera’s eyepiece type.

      Rectangular (Square) Eyepieces: Most standard rectangular D-SLR viewfinders require an adapter like the Nikon DK-22 Eyepiece Adapter to attach the DG-2.

      Round High-Eyepoint Eyepieces: Cameras with circular eyepieces typically require the DK-18 or DK-7 adapter ring to screw the DG-2 securely onto the thread.

      Certain vintage or specialized cameras (such as the Nikon F3, FM2, and FM3A) can mount the DG-2 natively.
