      The Nikon Nikkor-SW 90mm f/4.5 is a high-speed, wide-angle large format prime lens built primarily for 4×5 view cameras (with enough coverage for 5×7 at smaller stops)

      Performance & Characteristics
      Focusing: Bright f/4.5 aperture makes corner-to-corner focusing on a ground glass much easier than slower wide-angles (like the 90mm f/8). 
      Movements: Generous image circle (235mm) permits substantial rise, fall, shift, and tilt movements on 4×5. 
      Sharpness: High contrast, minimal distortion, and faithful color rendition via Nikon coating. 
      Working Sweet Spot: Edge/coma performance improves markedly when stopped down to f/8 or smaller (optimal around f/16–f/22 for maximum depth and coverage).
      Portability Tradeoff: Bulkier and heavier than the compact 90mm f/8 SW, trading field lightness for brightness
