The Paillard Bolex L8 is a Swiss-made, compact 8mm movie camera from the 1940s-50s, featuring a highly polished duraluminium body with leather covering. It uses manual-threading daylight loading spools for double-run 8mm film and features a constant-speed spring-driven motor, with later models including a variable speed dial (12-32 fps)
The Kern-Paillard 36mm f/2.8 Yvar is a vintage telephoto prime lens designed for 8mm cine cameras, notably Bolex, utilizing a D-mount. Introduced around the 1940s-1950s, it is known for its compact metal construction, smooth manual focus, and 10 aperture blades, typically ranging from f/2.8 to f/22.
