The Pentax P30 is a 35mm film SLR. Featuring a durable plastic/metal body, manual focus, and a bright viewfinder. It uses the Pentax KA-mount to provide programmed automatic exposure and metered manual mode. It runs on two LR44 batteries for its 1/1000–1s shutter and automatic DX film speed setting.

Exposure Modes: Programmed Auto (sets both aperture and shutter) and Metered Manual.

Lens Mount: Pentax KA-mount (compatible with KA, K, and M-series lenses).

Shutter: Metal-blade, vertical-travel, 1/1000 sec. to 1 second, plus B (Bulb).

Metering: TTL (Through-The-Lens) center-weighted, using a LED display.

ISO Range: DX-coded from 25 to 1600 (defaults to 100 if no code).
