      The QHYCCD PoleMaster is an innovative electronic polar scope designed to eliminate the guesswork and frustration of polar aligning equatorial mounts. By combining a highly sensitive wide-field camera with dedicated PC software, it allows you to achieve near-perfect polar alignment (up to 30 arc-seconds of accuracy) in just 2 to 3 minutes.

      How It Works

      Instead of using your eye, the PoleMaster camera is mounted along the Right Ascension (RA) axis of your telescope mount. It streams a live feed of the polar region directly to your laptop.The software superimposes a virtual grid of the celestial pole onto your live view. You simply match the physical stars on your screen to the software’s templates. This allows you to identify the exact center of rotation for your mechanical mount and perfectly align it with the true celestial pole.
