      The Tamron Tripod Mount Ring (also known as a lens collar or grip ring) is a specialized mounting accessory designed to improve balance and stability when using specific telephoto zoom lenses on a tripod. It shifts the camera system’s center of gravity from the camera body to the lens, preventing “front-heavy” tipping and reducing stress on the camera’s lens mount.
