Olympus OM 65-116 Telescopic Macro Auto Extension Tube

A brilliant OLYMPUS innovation that provides close to the range of a regular bellows unit in a compact, lightweight and highly versatile format. It functions as a portable bellows for outstanding versatility and convenience in outdoor macrophotography, medical close-up photography, etc. When used with all the bellow lenses such as 20mm, 38mm, 80mm and 135mm lens heads, the Telescopic Auto Tube becomes the focusing device for such lenses. It telescopes in a direct outward motion which reacts like a one touch zoom. I don’t remember any other 35mm makers providing similar device, other than from the medium format Hasselblad. The Telescopic Auto Tube makes macrophotography, once a highly demanding and complex discipline, hardly more difficult than taking snapshots. It is basically also an extension tube – but it can compresses like a telescope while in operation, it works like a zoom lens, when it is folded it is 65mm long and can be extended to a length of 116mm.

The extension tube is in near mint cosmetic condition, please see photo provided.
